Now you too can play with remote control cars on your iPhone

I’ve already spoken before about how I wish I could have been born a few years later than i actually was, due to the amazing toys that are now popping up on our shelves.

Sure, Transformers and GI Joe were pretty cool, but compared to an iPhone that allows for you to remote control cars, it’s a poor comparison. Unveiled at Toy Fair 2012, the Dension WiRC controller is just one more gadget that makes me wish that I was a kid again, because this is the gift that would totally have made cutting kilometres of grass on hot weekends totally worthwhile.

Able to integrate itself with any RC vehicle, the controller, using a wi-fi hotpsot from your iPhone, allows for users to connect and control different servos on the car, and also allows for it to be tweaked accordingly, before taking it to the streets for some mini-Tokyo drifting.

It’s a $179, but with the inclusion of USB ports, it also allows for web-cams to be attached to record your crashes. Touch-screen racing on the go? Age be damned, this sounds awesome for any demographic!
